Cape Girardeau native Christopher Martin has graduated with honors from Washington University Law School.
Martin graduated fifth in his class of 205 students, was the executive articles editor of the Washington University Law Quarterly and a member of the Order of the Coif, an honorary society for top law students.
Martin will now serve as a law clerk for Judge Ann Covington at the Missouri Supreme Court for a year, before going to work in St. Louis for the law firm of Lewis, Rice and Fingerish.
Martin graduated from Cape Central High School in 1981, and from Southeast Missouri State University in 1985.
He worked briefly as a certified public accountant before entering law school.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Martin of Cape Girardeau.
