The Cape Girardeau Municipal Band will perform at 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the Capaha Park band shell.
The concert is free. Those attending should bring a lawn chair or blanket.
The celebrity guest director will be John Holcomb, and a special performance will be presented by the Brass Company, a professional small brass emsemble.
The band's program includes "Bandology March," "Emperata Overture," "Lassus Trombone," "Washington Post March," "Our Director March," "Atlantic Avenue," a medley from the Beatles, and selections from "The Wiz."
The SEMO University Band Camp is in session, so in the case of rain, the concert will take place at academic auditorium.
Ronald Nall conducts the band.
