The Cape Girardeau Municipal Band will return to Capaha Park Band Shell tonight for its regular Wednesday concert.
The band performed last Friday during Riverfest. The band will present the rest of its season on Wednesday evenings at Capaha Park.
Special guest entertainer for this week's program will be Magician Bill Coomer. This is the third year that Coomer has presented magic at one of the band's concerts.
This week's musical program includes: "Heat Lightning March"; "American Overture for Band"; "Flutes, Flutes, Flutes," a flute section feature; "The Billboard," a circus march; "Johnny Comes Marching Home"; and the score from the Broadway musical "Oliver."
The public is invited to bring a lawn chair and enjoy a free concert in the park tonight at 8.
