The Cape Girardeau-Bollinger Major Case Squad, a Cape Girardeau arson team, state and local fire marshals, and agents from the Federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms continue to investigate the suspicious fire, and two other blazes that police believe were set overnight.

The second fire was reported around 4:15 a.m. at 1015 Bloomfield St., and the second was reported about a half-hour later at 511 S. Ellis St.
