A Cape Girardeau man possessed and disseminated child pornography online, police said.
The Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney’s office on Friday charged David R. Snedeker, 36, with first-degree promoting child pornography.
According to a probable-cause statement filed in the case by Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. Jeremy L. Weadon, officers in September downloaded pornographic material hosted at an internet protocol address found to belong to Snedeker.
Officers searched Snedeker’s residence Thursday in the 900 block of South Ellis Street, seizing computers, tablets and cellphones belonging to him, Weadon wrote.
Snedeker admitted to downloading and viewing child pornography, including the file investigators downloaded from his I.P. address in September, Weadon wrote.
Snedeker’s bond was set at $25,000 cash, with the condition he not contact minors directly or indirectly.
