A Cape Girardeau man placed fourth in extemporaneous speaking for the Nebraska Wesleyan University forensics team at the recent Kansas State University Invitational Tournament at Manhattan.

The Nebraska Wesleyan team placed third in the sweepstakes competition.

Jason Green of Cape Girardeau was one of two team members to place in individual competition. Erin Duncan, Franklin, Neb., won the persuasive speaking event and finished sixth in informative public address.

Teams from 14 colleges and universities were entered in the competition.
