A Cape Girardeau man pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court to drug and gun charges.

Ted A. Imrie, 42, pleaded guilty to one count of being unlawful user of a controlled substance in possession of two firearms and one count of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute. He appeared before U.S. District Judge Henry Autrey.

Imrie agreed to forfeit the guns and $2,500, which had been seized as evidence.

On June 28, law enforcement searched Imrie's residence, finding the guns, several baggies of marijuana and items of drug paraphernalia, including two scales.

A small amount of Valium was also found, as well as a fire safe containing the money.

Imrie faces up to 10 years in prison and up to a $250,000 fine. Sentencing was set for May 5.
