A Cape Girardeau man died Sunday night from injuries he received in a one-vehicle accident Friday night.

Robert Kennedy died Sunday at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He had been seriously injured in the accident Friday when his motorcycle ran off the road and struck an embankment. The accident happened along Highway 177 north of Cape Girardeau.

Seven people were injured in accidents Monday on Southeast Missouri highways, according to reports from the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Ross Daniels, 32, of Dexter received minor injuries when he was struck by a car while riding his lawn mower. Sherry Norton, 16, of Bloomfield lost control of her vehicle and ran off the road into a field, hitting Daniels. The accident happened at 6:30 p.m. on Stoddard County Road 517. She was not injured.

Three Essex teen-agers were injured when their vehicle was struck by a car that pulled into their path along Stoddard County Road 114 just east of Dexter. The vehicle was driven by Stacy Snider, 17. Passengers were Melissa Hanes, 17, and Justin Newell, 16. All three were taken to Dexter Memorial Hospital and treated for injuries. A vehicle driven by Michael Glass, 23, pulled into their path, according to the report. Glass was not injured.

Timothy Barnes, 30, was injured when he failed to stop at an intersection on Stoddard County Road 678 and his vehicle left the roadway and struck an embankment. He was taken to Dexter Memorial Hospital for injuries.

Dillman Ruehling, 71 of Altenburg and Catherine Perry, 76, of Jackson, were both injured when their vehicles collided on U.S. 61 north of Fruitland.

Perry had been attempting to turn left onto Highway 61 when she drove into the path of Ruehling's car. Both were treated at St. Francis Medical Center.
