Haskell won honorable mention in the Margie B. Boswell Poetry Contest for "Dig."

Featured speakers for Creative Writing Week were essayist/ playwright Larry L. King of Washington, D.C., whose play "The Golden Shadows Old West Museum" recently was published by TCU Press, and novelist Carole Nelson Douglas, whose best-selling "Good Night, Mr. Holmes" and its two sequels featured the American opera singer Irene Adler as the only woman to outwit Sherlock Holmes.
