A 21-year-old man was arrested after Cape Girardeau police found 16 bags of marijuana hidden in his clothes.
Patrolman Dan Seger had noticed a car in the vicinity of Morgan Oak and Asher this week driving with expired license plates, Lt. Carl Kinnison said.
After stopping the vehicle, Seger noticed the passenger in the front seat trying to conceal something in his coat pocket.
The officer discovered 15 small bags containing what was thought to be marijuana. A larger bag with the same substance was in the man's rear pants pocket, Kinnison said.
Mark Mosely of Cape Girardeau was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute in connection with the incident.
The driver of the car, 18-year-old Jonathon R. Ayers of Cape Girardeau, was arrested for driving with a revoked license.
