Cape Girardeau police arrested a 35-year-old Cape Girardeau man after he was accused of threatening a woman with a gun.

The Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney’s office charged Deshone S. Bailey with unlawful use of a weapon and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Bailey was arrested about 12:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 1500 block of Independence Street, according to Cape Girardeau police Sgt. Adam Glueck.

The female victim said Bailey threatened her with a handgun, but she was uninjured.

Bailey previously pleaded guilty to second-degree burglary Jan. 23, 2015, in Perry County and possession of a controlled substance April 21, 2014, in Cape Girardeau County.
