Cape library subscribes to in-house poetry database

The Cape Girardeau Public Library has subscribed to The Columbia Granger's World of Poetry, an in-house database.

The database may be used for comparing poems and treatments of a subject by different authors or original poems that use the same form can be created.

An anthology of poems based on a certain subject can also be constructed and public-domain poems can be printed.

Also included are author biographies and information about a poem's content, form and date with guides to further reading. Students, teachers and poetry enthusiasts will be inspired to create poems or use this helpful tool for information or research.
