Cape Girardeau and Jackson residents should expect some changes to their normal trash-pickup schedule during the Thanksgiving holiday.
Jackson's Sanitation Department and Cape Girardeau's Public Works Department will be closed Nov. 26 and 27.
Jackson's Recycling Center and yard waste pits also will be closed, according to a news release from the city.
During that week, Thursday and Friday trash and recycling routes in Cape Girardeau will run Nov. 25.
In Jackson, trash normally collected Thursday or Friday instead will be picked up Nov. 30. Trash normally picked up on Mondays and Tuesdays will be collected Dec. 1.
