Stephanie E. Frisbie received her degree of Doctor of Medicine at the annual commencement exercises of the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine.

She will specialize in family practice after completing her residency at Truman East Hospital in Independence under the direction of the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine.

She earned a bachelor degree magna cum laude in biological sciences in 1989 from the University of Missouri-Columbia. She was involved in Phi Beta Kappa, Greek Council, Biology Association and the Pre-Med Club.

She was valedictorian of the 1985 class at Cape Girardeau Central High School where she was a member of National Honor Society, Student Council, Scholar Bowl, and earned awards in history, drama, science, chemistry, biology and math. She also earned a curator's scholarship to attend the University of Missouri.

Frisbie is the daughter of Fred and Barbara Frisbie of Cape Girardeau.
