A Cape Girardeau woman is $462,000 richer after purchasing a winning quick-pick ticket for the Show Me Cash drawing.

Cynthia Bauer bought the ticket March 7 at SEMO Gas, 40 N. Sprigg St. in Cape Girardeau. She claimed the jackpot April 9, according to a news release from the Missouri Lottery.

In a dream several years ago, Bauer's late mother told her she would win someday, the release said.

"She said it would be like $250,000," Bauer said in the release. "It's all happened before and everything. It's always come true, but there's no concept of time. Some things would be three years later."

Bauer takes care of her daughter's three children and said the prize money will be used to buy a home and a nice vehicle.

"I couldn't have hit more rock bottom that I've hit," she said in the release. "This just made my life."
