Samantha Brasfield, 28, of Cape Girardeau recently claimed the first of five top prizes in the Missouri Lottery "$100,000 Crossword" game. Brasfield bought two "$100,000 Crossword" scratchers tickets at the AM-PM gas station at 1101 William St. She later played the game at home where she realized that one of the tickets held the $100,000 top prize. "100,000 Crossword" is a $5 game in which players uncover letters on the crossword ticket to spell words and the prizes increase with the number of words spelled. The game officially began Dec. 6. Brasfield plans on paying bills, buying a new car and possibly taking a vacation with the money.
