Cape Girardeau woman pleads guilty to federal drug charge

A Cape Girardeau woman pleaded guilty to a federal felony drug charge Thursday.

Lindsay Gaye Bloodworth, 25, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Stephen N. Limbaugh Jr. to one felony count of conspiracy to possess pseudoephedrine knowing that it would be used to manufacture methamphetamine.

With the plea, Bloodworth admitted to purchasing a large amount of pseudoephedrine between May 4, 2006 and July 5, 2007 and providing the drug to people using it to make methamphetamine.

Bloodworth now faces a maximum of 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine, or both. Sentencing has been set for March 3, 2010 in Cape Girardeau.
