PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- A Cape Girardeau woman was hospitalized after Perry County sheriff's deputies found her trapped in her car off Interstate 55 Tuesday night.
Jane E. Marshall, 43, crossed the centerline and traveled through the median before striking a bridge support just south of the Perryville exit, Perry County Sheriff Gary Schaaf said.
Deputies found her in her car around 11:30 p.m. and got her out. Schaaf said he was unsure how long she was in the car.

Marshall was transported to a hospital with serious injuries, Schaaf said.
