Cape Girardeau woman arrested for allegedly throwing bricks and making threats near Save-A-Lot; victims report racial slurs and damage to their car. Strong, 27, held on $25,000 bond.

Cape Girardeau police responded to a report of a Cape Girardeau woman throwing bricks at a vehicle in a parking lot near a Save-A-Lot, 121 S. Sprigg St., on Monday, Sept. 2

Jaylon Strong, 27, was arrested after allegedly throwing bricks at the victim's car after yelling racial slurs and making statements, including "I am going to kill you." According to the probable cause statement, the victims called 911 and stated their car had broken down and could not get away from Strong.

The statement says when the officer arrived in the area he observed the juvenile victims "visibly upset" with both of them crying and one of them having a panic attack due to the incident. The victims told the officer Strong allegedly began walking toward the vehicle and was yelling racial slurs and making threats against the victims.

"[Redacted] advised Strong then began banging on the vehicle windows and telling them to exit the vehicle. [Redacted] advised Strong then picked up bricks/large rocks and was forcefully throwing them at the window on the back passenger side trying to get inside," the probable cause stated.

The officer noted damage to the back passenger side window of the vehicle. Strong was booked to the Cape Girardeau County Jail on Tuesday, Sept. 3, and is being held in lieu of $25,000 bond.
