The Cape Girardeau School Board will vote on more than $6 million in bid packages for elementary school construction projects during a special meeting Thursday at noon.
The packages include more than $3.6 million for construction work at Clippard and Alma Schrader elementary schools, and more than $2.4 million for Jefferson Elementary School.
Planned construction work includes additions to the schools, secured entrances, roofing for Jefferson, and extensive plumbing and mechanical upgrades.
The construction projects are part of phase II of the Cape Girardeau School District's $40 million facilities improvement plan, approved by voters in April.
The meeting will be held at the board of education and administrative offices, at 301 N. Clark Ave.
