Cape Girardeau public pools to reduce hours

Cape Splash and Central Municipal Pool will change their hours of operation Thursday. The start of the school year necessitates the switch. Through Labor Day, the Central pool will be open for fitness swimming from 5 to 7 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday to Friday and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday; and for open swim from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Labor Day, the pool will be open from 1 to 5 p.m. Cape Splash will now be open from noon to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, and from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Friday.
