Cape Girardeau police officers are still looking for the man who robbed two men at around 9 p.m. Tuesday in the 800 block of Themis Street.

Cpl. Adam Glueck, spokesman for the police department, said Wednesday the victims in the crime didn't indicate they were robbed at knifepoint, as previously reported.

Scanner traffic Tuesday night and an on-duty evening officer indicated the suspect officers were looking for pulled a knife on the victims.

The suspect was able to get away with a small amount of cash, Glueck said, after wrestling one of the men to the ground and fleeing the scene.

The suspect is described as a black male, 40-45 years old, average weight, wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans and his hair in braids.
