The case against a Cape Girardeau murder suspect has been continued to January.
Steven Lee Williams, 35, faces charges of second-degree murder and armed criminal action in connection with the Sept. 20, 2012, shooting death of 38-year-old Darcus Purl.
In August, Williams turned down a plea offer from assistant prosecuting attorney Angel Woodruff.
At a case review Monday, Judge William Syler continued the case to Jan. 21.
Williams pleaded not guilty to the charges in October 2012. He is accused of shooting Purl to death after an altercation near the corner of South Ranney Avenue and Locust Street.
