CHARLESTON, Mo. -- The Charleston Department of Public Safety is investigating the shooting of a Cape Girardeau man.
The Missouri Delta Medical Center alerted the department of the shooting shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday, said Charleston Department of Public Safety director Robert Hearnes.
The victim told officers he was unsure where he was in Charleston when he was shot in the foot.
Hearnes said the investigation is continuing, but the victim has indicated he does not want to pursue charges in the incident.
