Cape Girardeau, Jackson change trash schedule for Labor Day

Cape Girardeau and Jackson will alter their trash pick up schedule in observance of the Labor Day holiday Sept. 3.

In Cape Girardeau, the trash/recycling route that would normally be run Sept. 3 will be run Sept. 4, and Sept. 4's route will be run Sept. 5, according to the city's website. There will also be no special pickups Sept. 5. All other routes will remain the same.

In Jackson, garbage that would normally be collected Sept. 3 will be collected Sept. 4, according to a news release. Jackson's Recycling Center also will be closed Sept. 3.
