The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission awarded a $103,625 contract to Apex Paving Co. of Cape Girardeau on Wednesday for improvements to the U.S. 61/Route K/Route M interchange at Scott City. The project includes coldmilling and resurfacing in the interchange area. Work is expected to begin in late spring, with completion anticipated in summer, weather permitting. Lane restrictions will be in place as milling and paving operations are underway. Drivers are urged to watch for signs and flaggers near the work zones. MoDOT will alert drivers before any change in traffic.
