Republican candidate for Cape Girardeau County presiding commissioner Clint Tracy reported that contributions received and expenditures made have not exceeded $500 since his last campaign financial quarterly report in July. In July Tracy's statement reported the campaign had $17,966.57 on hand. Tracy filed a committee statement of limited activity Friday with the Missouri Ethics Commission.

Tracy's opponent, Democrat Pat Wissman, reports having $496.63 on hand at the end of the quarter in September. According to the committee disclosure report Wissman filed, Wissman lent his campaign $705 and he received a donation from the Byrd Township Democrats for $150. He also received a $200 donation from Kelly Doban of Cincinnati. Wissman also listed a $807.74 in-kind contribution from himself to the campaign. The report lists his expenditures as $558.37.

In the Cape Girardeau County recorder of deeds race, Democratic incumbent Janet Robert had more money on hand than her Republican challenger, Scott R. Clark. Robert reported having $8,587.98 on hand, whereas Clark reported having $1,466.

Robert received a $999 donation from the Cape Girardeau County Democratic Central Committee; a $200 donation from Fred Kelley of Cape Girardeau, an employee of the Craftsman Independent Union; and $150 from Brenda Woemmel, a retiree from Cape Girardeau. She also reports $375 in smaller donations of less than $100 per donor. Her expenditures this quarter were $1,288.12, including a $1,017.49 payment to Cape Girardeau Printing for brochures.

Clark reported lending his campaign $2,000 and receiving $230 in smaller donations of less than $100 per donor. His expenses for the quarter were $2,223.01, including $1,104.58 to Cape Girardeau Printing for campaign materials.
