The Cape Mart convenience store in Cape Girardeau is the latest business in the city to be burglarized.
Police responded to the store at 238 N. Fountain St. at about 2 a.m. Monday. A caller reported that a window on the building was busted. Police found no one inside, but discovered an undetermined amount of money was taken from a video game machine, said Cape Girardeau Police Department spokesman Darin Hickey. Nothing else was taken.
Hickey said the burglary is under investigation, and as of Monday there was no way to determine if the incident was related to the burglaries reported in recent weeks by several other local businesses.
