Public hearings

* Held a public hearing to consider vacating the city's interest in a portion of Mason Street, Pearl Street, Mill Street, Main Street, Spanish Street, Chestnut Street, alleys east of Lorimier Street between Mason and Mill streets in Ingram's Addition Subdivision, utility easements within the proposed Isle of Capri Planned Development District, and a public alley in Ingram's Addition.

Consent agenda

* Passed an ordinance appropriating funds for transfers for the fiscal year ending June 30. Second and third readings.

* Passed an ordinance granting a special-use permit to Terrence S. Allison and Susan M. Allison for purposes of maintaining and operating a day care at 1341 Vantage Drive.

* Passed a resolution authorizing the city manager to execute an agreement with K & K Electric Co. for the water supply wells project, in Cape Girardeau. Reading and passage.

* Passed a resolution authorizing the city manager to execute a lease with Skybound Aviation LLC, for office space and hangar space at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport. Reading and passage.

* Accepted a motion accepting the improvements completed to Independence Street from Sprigg Street to Water Street, sidewalk and ramp improvements at William and Louis, and storm drainage and repair work at Etherton Drive and Bloomfield Road, and authorizing final payment to Fronabarger Concreters Inc.

* Passed an ordinance approving the record plat of Baldwin Place Phase I. First reading.

* Passed an ordinance approving the record plat of Keller Second Subdivision. First reading.

* Passed an ordinance accepting fee simple interest, permanent trail easements and temporary construction easements from various property owners for the Bloomfield Road 4 Project. First reading.

* Passed an ordinance amending Section 26-251 of Chapter 26 of the Code relating to parking. First reading.

* Granted conditional approval of the following liquor licenses: John J. Yallaly, d/b/a American Legion Post 63, temporary liquor license for an event to be held at the Arena Building June 3 to 5; James K. Lee, d/b/a The Billiard Center, 26 N. Main St., retail liquor by the drink and Sunday sales; Reed Edmundson, d/b/a Long Shots Bar and Billiards, 470 S. Kingshighway, retail liquor by the drink.

Other business

* Granted a consideration of an original package liquor sales license, excluding Sunday, for Shah Mari, LLC,d/b/a Cape Mart, 238 N. Fountain St.
