Consent ordinances
(Second and third readings) Accepted a collector's deed for a county tax sale property.
Appropriated money from the Convention and Visitors Bureau special revenue fund for improvements to the Glenn House and imposed a moratorium on further appropriations from that fund for the remainder of this calendar year. Approved the record plat of Cape West 11th Subdivision.
Approved the record plat of Julie Subdivision No. 3. Approved the record plat of Spanish Court.
Declared it necessary to improve Commercial Street from Walnut Street to Hickory Street.

(First reading) Accepted a quit-claim deed for the Cape Girardeau area flood control project detention reservoir.
Amended the city code on alcoholic beverages. Granted a special-use permit to the city of Cape Girardeau for a new fire station at 1975 N. Sprigg St.
Granted a special-use permit for construction and maintenance of two signs at 2917 Independence St. Rezoned land on the south side of Brenda Kay Court.
Accepted a permanent water-line easement from James and Gayle Lincoln and a temporary construction easement from Wanda Conrad for the improvement of Minnesota Avenue between Bloomfield Road and Brink Street.
Executed an agreement with the Missouri State Highways and Transportation Commission transferring maintenance of Vantage Drive from the state to the city. Accepted two permanent sewer easements from Drury Development Corp. and a water line easement from Drury Land Development Inc. for improvement to the Kohl's store site.
Resolutions Approved Cape Girardeau's participation in the Greater Cape Girardeau Area Metropolitan Planning Organization.
Authorized a contract with PR Developers Inc. for water line improvements in the Nash Road area. Executed a release of lien for the Community Development Block Grant program.
Executed a first amendment to the office and hangar lease with Inflight Corp. d/b/a Cape Air Charter at the Cape Girardeau Regional Airport.
Liquor licenses
Denied a conditional retail liquor by the drink license for Mark Lamont, d/b/a The Mix, 823 S. Kingshighway.

Accepted the Boardman Pavilion on South Main Street from the Downtown Merchants Association. Accepted a water main extension at 1900 N. Kingshighway into the city's system.
Accepted the sanitary sewer system for Cape Camping and RV Park at 1900 N. Kingshighway. Accepted a water main extension to serve Misty Hollow Lane off Cape Girardeau County Road 620.
Accepted improvements on Silver Springs Road and authorized final payment to Lappe Cement Finishing Inc. Approved improvement plans for a sanitary sewer to serve Whispering Oaks and The Meadows of Whispering Oaks development.
Approved improvement plans for street, water, sewers and detention basin to serve The Villas of West Park development. Executed a release of land subdivision bond for Cape West Village Second Subdivision.
Executed a release of land subdivision bond for St. Jude's Subdivision.
