New ordinances

(First reading) Approved an ordinance placing a stop sign on Fountain Street at its intersection with Morgan Oak Street.

Rejected an ordinance that would have renamed a section of Silver Springs Road from Mount Auburn Road southerly to Kingshighway as Tiger Pride Drive. Approved a motion allowing the school to use other signs and painted paw prints to promote the school.

Granted a special-use permit to Stan and Kay Thompson and Ronnie and Pam Wesbecher for the purpose of constructing, maintaining and operating a camping and RV park at 1900 N. Kingshighway.

Approved a 5 percent beer by the drink and wine tasting liquor license for Debra A. Martin d/b/a Patricia Ann's, 130 N. Main St.

Gave conditional approval of a retail liquor by the drink and Sunday sales license for The Continental Restaurant, 3049 William No. 115.

Other

Approved a request for a street light in the 400 block of South Ellis as requested by a Neighborhood Watch group to combat crime.

Approved improvement plans for streets, storm sewers, sanitary sewers and detention basin improvements to serve Wyandotte Acres Fourth Addition.

Accepted into the city's system a 12-inch water main extension along County Road 620 to serve Whispering Oaks Subdivision.
