Proclamation

Council recognized centennial of Southeast Missourian newspaper with a proclamation.

Consent ordinances

(Second and third readings)

Approved the acquisition of property for the improvement of Vantage Drive west of Farrar Drive, and Farrar Drive north of William Street.

Accepted a permanent utility easement from Spanish Court LLC for relocation of utilities.

Established two-hour parking on a portion of Houck Place.

Accepted a general warranty deed from Randol Farms Development Inc. for the Kent Street Extension Project.

New ordinances

(First reading)

Accepted quit-claim deeds and general warranty deeds from various property owners and collector's deeds from the Cape Girardeau County collector for properties with delinquent tax bills.

Accepted a permanent utility easement and temporary access easement from Mitch Kinder Development LLC for the improvement of Randol Farms Ninth Subdivision.

Executed a relinquishment of roadway agreement with the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission for work related to the South Ramsey Branch lift station and force main project.

Granted a special-use permit to Rivendell Properties LLC for the purpose of constructing, maintaining and operating an office and retail unit at the entrance of Lexington Place Subdivision.

Granted a special-use permit to First General Baptist Church for constructing and maintaining a sign at 1812 Cape La Croix Road.

Granted a special-use permit to Stephen and Jenny Stigers for the purpose of maintaining and operating a kennel at 1343 Big Bend Road.

Reaffirmed the action of the city council declaring it necessary to improve, providing for the improvement, directing the city manager to enter into a contract to do the work, and providing for the manner of payment of the work of Commercial Street from Walnut Street to Hickory Street for a distance of about 3,149 feet.

Resolutions

Approved a subordination agreement with Wood and Huston Bank for a second deed of trust for property owned by Margaret N. Sheppard.

Liquor licenses

Gave conditional approval of the following new liquor licenses: Retail liquor by the drink for J.B. Pool Inc. d/b/a LoDo's at the Marquette, 338 Broadway, Suite 110; retail liquor by the drink and Sunday sales for VanMatre Management LLC d/b/a Kreiger's Hometown Sports Grill, 2406 William St.; retail liquor by the drink for King William Management Inc. d/b/a Fresco, 1036 N. Sprigg St.; retail liquor by the drink for Aladdin W. Garris d/b/a Roxbury, 823 S. Kingshighway.

Other

Accepted into the city's system the effluence from the sanitary sewer extension to serve Napa Ridge Development on Jefferson Street between West End Boulevard and Missouri Street.

Accepted into the city's system the street, sanitary and storm sewers and water improvements to serve Randol Farms Ninth Subdivision and releasing the escrow agreement covering these improvements.
