Consent Ordinances
Annex land to the city of Cape Girardeau upon request of the Southeast Missouri University Foundation. Second and third readings.
Amend the boundaries of Ward 4 to include Southeast Missouri University property being concurrently annexed. Second and third readings.
Amend the zoning ordinance to allow bed and breakfast inns or hostels in R-3, two-family residential districts, with a special-use permit. Second and third readings.
Grant a special use permit to Mae Josephine Roth for operating a bed and breakfast at 735 Perry Avenue. Second and third readings.
Establish no parking on Lexington Avenue. Second and third readings.
Accept a quit claim deed from Cape Girardeau County for the Lexington Avenue extension project. Second and third readings.
Amend the property maintenance code for the city of Cape Girardeau. Second and third readings.
New Ordinances
Accept a quit claim deed and temporary construction easement from Earl Q. and Mary Lee Allen; accept a temporary construction easement from Vernon T. and Jerry J. Uhrhan for the Lexington Avenue extension project. First reading.
Approve the record plat of Lexington Place Third Subdivision. First reading.
Approve an ordinance expanding the powers of the mayor. First reading.
Resolutions
Authorize an application for nomination as a local historic landmark for the River Heritage Museum building, formerly the old city hall, police station and fire station at 538 Independence Street. Reading and passage.
Authorize a contract with R. L. Persons Construction Inc. for construction of the Mid-South Steel sanitary sewer. Reading and passage.
