-- Approved an ordinance adopting the annual operating budget for fiscal year beginning July 1, 1998. Second and third readings.

New ordinances

-- Approved an ordinance accepting sewer and waterline easements from the James L. and Wanda L. Drury Real Estate Trust and the Roman Catholic Springfield-Cape Girardeau Diocese, for construction of sanitary sewers to serve the new Notre Dame High School and surrounding areas. First reading.

-- Approved an ordinance approving the amended record plat of Forest Hills Estates Subdivision, Phase I. First, second and third readings.

-- Approved an ordinance approving the record plat of DKR 4th Subdivision. First Reading.

-- Approved a resolution authorizing the city manager to execute an escrow agreement and irrevocable letter of credit with DKR Properties, LLC and the First National Bank of the Mid-South for DKR 4th Subdivision. Reading and passage.

-- Approved an ordinance appropriating funds for contingency, Public Works, general capital improvements, internal services, Public Safety and Parks and Recreation. First reading.

-- Approved an ordinance amending Chapter 15 of the city code relating to license and business regulations tax. First reading.

-- Approved an ordinance authorizing the city manager to execute a contract with Kelley Transportation Co. Inc. for subsidized transportation coupon services. First, second and third readings.

-- Approved a resolution authorizing the city manager to execute an agreement with the Safe House for Women Inc. for emergency shelter grant funds from the Missouri Department of Social Services-Division of Family Services. Reading and passage.

-- Approved a resolution authorizing the city manager to execute external fire protection service agreement forms. Reading and passage.
