The organization is the second oldest bass club in the state.
The club holds the distinction of being the defending state champion. It has also won three state championships at Truman Lake, making it the only club to have three titles at a non-home lake.
"We've got some top notch guys," said Young. "We're pretty hard to beat."
Tournaments are held at Kentucky Lake, Smithland Pool, Wappapello, Lake Gunnerville (Ala.) and Millwood Lake (Ark.).
The club, which has 23 members, meets the second Tuesday of every month. Yearly dues are $100.

River City Anglers
The club holds seven tournaments a year, including Kentucky Lake, Smithland Pool, Kaskaskia River, Lake Egypt and Wappapello.
Membership fees are $80 a year.
"We've got people from all walks of life," said Koehler.
The club currently has 14 members.

SEMO Bass Busters
The club holds 12 tournaments a year with sites at Kentucky Lake, Smithland Pool, Crab Orchard, Wappapello, Wren Lake, Cedar Lake.
The club currently has 24 members and dues are $50 a year. Meetings are held first Tuesday of every month year round.
"We try to keep it light where you can have a lot of fun and learn a little bit," said Brookman.
