The Cape County Tea Party will hold its open monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Cape Girardeau Public Library.

The meeting agenda includes a presentation by David Epps on an alternative to solar energy for the Cape Girardeau City Council to consider; a brainstorming session on possible state legislation that could be introduced in 2014; and, time permitting, a presentation by Brian Bollmann on consent of the governed.

According to a news release from the Cape County Tea Party, Bollmann's presentation is part of a training program by the Center for Self-Governance.

The meeting and training session are open to the public, regardless of party or ideology, the release said.
