The Cape Girardeau County Republican Central Committee held elections for committee officeholders at its Tuesday night meeting.

Some of the committee's major duties include attending state party conventions and meetings, coordinating election year activities, selecting replacements for elected officials in their party that cannot finish their term and representing the county in the state party.

Committee members voted three times to determine the next chairperson. The first two votes ended in a tie and Holly Lintner, the incumbent, was declared the winner in the third vote.
