Cape Girardeau County deputies are investigating a Sunday morning robbery at a convenience store near Procter & Gamble.
According to the Cape Girardeau County Sheriff's Department, the Little Country Store was robbed just after 7 a.m. Deputies responded after a store clerk called 911.
Authorities are searching for the suspect, who is described as man in his 20s, just under 6-feet tall. He was wearing a sweat shirt, jeans and a knit cap over his face.
The man got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. He fled the scene in a gold SUV, according to the sheriff's department.
A similar robbery occurred May 15 at Rhodes 101 in Fruitland, where a man displayed a gun to the store clerk and demanded money before fleeing in a gold SUV. According to the department that suspect has not been arrested, and the two crimes could be connected.
