Cape County deputies investigating Sunday morning stabbing

A Cape Girardeau County man is in critical condition at an area hospital after he was stabbed Sunday at his residence.

Cape Girardeau County deputies responded to the home at 3809 Old Route V Sunday morning to investigate a disturbance, according to a news release from the sheriff's department.

Deputies interviewed several witnesses and the person they suspected of stabbing 37-year-old Walter Claar.

The sheriff's department said Sunday night no arrests have been made and that it is still investigating the incident.
