Cape County Commission takes bids for tax publication

At Thursday morning's Cape Girardeau County Commission meeting, commissioners received bids for publication of the 2010 Cape Girardeau County Delinquent Land Tax Listings.

The Cashbook Journal in Jackson submitted a bid to run the listings at $5.89 per listing, per week. The Southeast Missourian in Cape Girardeau submitted a bid to run the listings at $6.80 per listing, per week.

Commissioner Paul Koeper made a motion to forward the bids to the Cape Girardeau County collector's office. Commissioner Jay Purcell seconded the motion. Presiding Commissioner Gerald Jones was not at the meeting.
