Cape Girardeau police chief Wes Blair was elected chairman of the Cape Girardeau / Bollinger County Major Case Squad board of directors Thursday, according to a news release from the case squad.
Blair succeeds Cape Girardeau Prosecuting Attorney Chris Limbaugh. According to squad bylaws, no member of the board of directors shall serve as chairman for two successive years.

Current members of the board of directors are Blair, Limbaugh, Jackson Police Department chief James Humphreys, Cape Girardeau County Sheriff John D. Jordan, Missouri State Highway Patrol Lt. Phil Gregory, Southeast Missouri State University Department of Public Safety director Doug Richards, Bollinger County Sheriff Darrin Shell and Bollinger County Prosecuting Attorney Heath Robbins.
