The Cape Girardeau Chamber of Commerce is looking for a thriving small business for its annual Small Business of the Year award, according to KZIM KSIM. Tim Arbeiter, vice president of community development with the Cape Girardeau Area Chamber of Commerce, said small businesses with 50 or fewer employees are eligible for the award, and business owners can nominate their own business.

Arbeiter said the chamber usually receives eight to 12 names. Write to info@capechamber.com to nominate or call the chamber at 335-3312. Past winners include Serv Pro and Lang Jewelers. The deadline is Jan. 5.
