A seven-student team from Cape Girardeau Central High School placed 11th out of 43 Missouri schools recently in the Knowledgemaster Open academic competition.
The tournament, which was held April 22 via computer at Central High School, rates students based on their answers to 200 questions covering high school curriculum.
The Central team scored 1,534 out of a possible 2,000 points. Columbia Hickman won the state competition with 1,700 points.
The state mean score among the 43 competing schools was 1,326, and the national mean score in the competition was 1,234.
