CAPE CENTRAL MARCHING BAND PLACES THIRD AT FESTIVAL

The Cape Central Marching Tigers earned third place in the 24th annual Greater St. Louis Marching Band Festival last weekend.

Forty-eight bands competed in the overall competition. Cape Central also received third place in the Gold Division, which included 11 other bands.

The color guard also won third place and the percussion section placed fourth.

About 15,000 people attended the band festival, which included a special guest appearance by Marching Mizzou, the band of the University of Missouri-Columbia.

The Marching Tigers will compete in Park Hills Saturday in its final competition of the season.
