The city of Cape Girardeau is asking residents to take part in a survey regarding a proposed alcohol ordinance, according to a news release Monday.
A proposed city ordinance would restrict when people younger than 21 could be in any business that earns more than 35 percent of its sales from alcohol. The survey can be found online at http://blog.cityofcapegirardeau.org/proposed-alcohol-ordinance-changes-public-survey/.
The proposed ordinance is scheduled for final approval by the city council Monday, and could take effect early as Nov. 16.
