To celebrate the completion of two Capaha Park projects, the city of Cape Girardeau will hold a ribbon cutting at the park Friday.
The public is welcome to join the celebration, which begins at 11 a.m.
The newest additions include a playground and pavilion. They take the place of an old playground, placed in the area that once held the Capaha Pool until it was demolished in 2011.
Also included in the project are sidewalks, benches, fountains, landscaping and improved pedestrian access.
