__What makes you the most qualified candidate for this position?:__
I am a life long resident of Jackson, a graduate, and both my children and my husband have graduated from JHS. My husband and I are business owners so I feel I am very invested in the community. I feel being a member of the school board is one way I can give back to a community that I cherish and am very proud to be a part of.
__What do you see as the opportunities and challenges in the district?:__
The community has grown so quickly that keeping up with the growth in the school district and keeping class sizes smaller could be a challenge. I think the district has done a great job of evaluating what students need, and building additional schools when necessary and when funding allows. Keeping up with technology will always be a challenge as well just because it is always changing.
__How will you communicate your work to your constituents?:__
By making myself available through phone calls, e-mails, texting, or even my place of business. I am very outgoing in the community and am not hard to catch up with.
__What are the factors on which you will base your decisions as a school board member?:__
After hearing all the facts of a situation, I will make my decision based on what I feel is best for the students.
