While Director of Public Safety in Charleston I learned that running a department was expensive. I learned how to make the necessary cuts that did not put officers life in danger or the public. At the end of every fiscal year my budget would still have 15-20% of monies left. If elected Sheriff I would have to review the existing budget to see what cuts would be appropriate for the department.
I would improve the reputation of the Department by being more proactive. I feel that educating our youth; County wide with drug awareness and intervention will help build repore with all city's in the County.
We all know that drugs are the biggest problem in this area. Most of the crimes committed are drug related crimes. Now with all the doctor shopping going on, prescription medicines have become a major problem along with the illegal drugs.
I am a community leader who is committed to God, this country, and serving all men, women, and children in this county. I am concerned and passionate about the needs of others. Everyone has the right to feel safe, to justice, and equal treatment. I have worked hard in the area of youth crime prevention and intervention, I greatly appreciate your confidence and vote on August 7, 2012 for Sheriff of Scott County.
