WHAT'S THE BIGGEST NEED YOU HOPE TO ADDRESS IF ELECTED?
Continuing needs of the City of Jackson. The primary items include upgrades to the Sewage Treatment Plant, Water Treatment Plant, Water distribution system, and expansion of the Police Department facilities and staff.
WHY ARE YOU THE BEST CANDIDATE?
My primary focus is on the needs of the residents of Jackson. Reliable primary services such as electrical service, water, sewage, and transportation. Improvements in the Fire Department have been one of my areas of focus.
When an item is brought to my attention by a resident of Jackson, or at a Council meeting, I think of myself as that resident. How would I want an Alderman to respond? What results would I like to see?
I tend to oppose zoning changes and special use permits, especially if there is opposition from residents in the area. I think of myself as living in those residents homes. Would I want to have that business receiving the special use permit next to my home, or the development next to me that a zoning change will bring. I fight for people and their homes and neighborhoods.
