WHAT'S THE BIGGEST NEED YOU HOPE TO ADDRESS IF ELECTED?

I intend to work to maximize the available funding for the Meadow Heights School District and try to find more funding through grants, private resources and any other avenues available in order to give our children and youth the best education opportunity possible. It is vitality important to prepare and equip our children with the necessary skills to compete in a fast changing world. This includes technology, teaching methods and dedicated, skilled teachers in our classrooms. We need to be able to offer new methods of teaching and help our teachers to deliver the best resources for our children. This can happen if we offer an environment that is conducive to good teaching methods as well as good learning. Offering the best we can will continue to attract good quality teachers who will have incentive to do the best they can with our young people.

WHY ARE YOU THE BEST CANDIDATE?

I am not a long time resident of the area. This is an advantage for the residents of this area for a couple of reasons. First of all, I do have experience working with school districts in other areas. I think I can bring some new and fresh ideas to the Meadow Heights School District. I have raised four children through school, including secondary education, and I now have grandchildren that will be starting to school soon. I have been and remain to be aware of many of the problems our Missouri School Districts are facing through experiences my own children had and are facing now with their children. By not being a long time resident here or having my own children/grandchildren in Meadow Heights, I have no personal agendas. I simply want what is best for the children of our community.
